Today’s random scans posting action is the first volume of The Disappearance Of Yuki Nagato-chan (長門有希ちゃんの消失, The Vanishing Of Nagato Yuki-chan) by Puyo, the author of the “Haruhi-chan” serie.

Unlike the Haruhi-chan serie, this is not a gag manga. It doesn’t have all the SD crazyness (just a tiny bit) nor the sudden epic GAR action. Well, it’s still a comedy manga, since it’s actually sweet and refreshing rabukome about Disappearance Nagato.

Also, even though it’s based on the ‘Disappearance’, this is not about what would have happened if Kyon didn’t press the ‘enter’ key. The ‘Disappearance’ world is the default world here, this is just slice-of-life about a ‘normal’ litterature club and its 3 members, and about a shy girl and her one-sided love.

So, this is the story of a ‘normal’ litterature club and its members (Yuki Nagato, Ryoko Asakura, and Kyon-kun), a few days before Chrismas~

It gets also Tsuruya-san as the ‘rival’ XD
She absolutely wants to make Kyon-kun a member of the ‘Mikiru-chan fanclub’ (and secondarily trying to get them together~) by any necesssary means XD

Last chapter is epic flashback~
December, 1st
Nagato is told that the litterature club will be disbanded, since she’s the only member. That night, depressed Nagato goes to the convini for getting her dinner, and meets a ‘strange’ girl in the park… XD

And so, Nagato-chan becomes Disappearance Haruhi’s John Smith… or maybe it’s the other way around XD

Thanks to this encounter, Nagato-chan finally finds enough courage for overcoming her shyness and trying to get new members~
Ah btw, members 4 & 5 are Taniguchi and Kunikida, but they’re just ‘ghost’ members and never appear (Kyon just put their name on the paper XD ).

Since this manga is planned to have at least 2 volumes, it does end with teaser ! XD

But before everything, I so loved the Kyon x Nagato x Asakura-san trio (with Asakura being kinda the okaa-san XD). These three just should be forever together, really !

I really like this kind of spin-off manga. I wonder why there isn’t more of them. I’d love some Lucky Star spin-off manga~
